In 1949, RMC, the original Reliance Worldwide company, began making components for water control valves. In the first of what would be many actions to drive the industry forward, RMC recognised the opportunity to revolutionise water heating. Through a dramatic change in control mechanisms, RMC pioneered the move to pressurised water heating systems in Australia. Despite resistance to these advancements, they ultimately became accepted as industry standard through the unprecedented level of performance, reliability and dependability that the new controls offered. These qualities remain at the heart of today's Reliance Worldwide.
